My Story

My journey into radio began growing up in Upstate New York where I spent countless hours reading the backs of baseball cards, computing statistics, and studying maps from a National Geographic subscription my grandfather started when I was 8. When my family moved to Colorado I continued on with my love for sports and newsradio, I made my way into baseball, became the videographer for our MBB, took photography, made my way into acting, and even became my Sophomore Class President. After just two and half short years, my family moved once again, this time to the Pacific Northwest where I fell in love the campus of Washington State University and the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication. I had many great professors both in Broadcasting as well as my other courses, especially history. In my first few summers I worked in Alaska to help with money for school, I saw unique parts of the country and learned a lot about life. After school I worked for several stations large and small from the Portland, OR Metro Area to the Oregon Coast. I announced drag racing, created training videos for worksites, including how to operate a locomotive, play-by-play, news and now my very own show. The Flashback is written, produced, operated and hosted by myself. With the wonderful support of my family, and friends I hope to share this life-long dream with you and hope that you enjoy listening.

-Sincerely,

Dave Henderson
